Could it be that the issue is inflammation? There is increasing evidence that the GLP-1 receptor agonists in your weight loss meds can help reduce this significantly. Many of your symptoms could be explained with very high levels of inflammation. These can and do occur without autoimmune disease. Hoping your positive journey continues - if the weight loss meds are key, then that is what really matters

This is what my PCP thinks! I hope so, too!

I know what 'C3' means. Unfortunately, I don't have any practical suggestions based on that knowledge, but I can at least try to explain what C3 does in the body.

C3 is part of the 'complement system', which is a set of molecules secreted by liver and blood cells which are toxic to most forms of life. However, human cells have full resistance to human complement (actually it's primate complement) so normally complement doesn't hurt us. If you injected human complement (including C3) into a monkey, the monkey should be fine, but it's potentially lethal to any animal that isn't a primate. This is why organ transplants between humans and pigs are impossible: human complement would kill pig organs within minutes. The complement system is the most primitive part of the immune system.

C3 in particular breaks into the molecules C3a and C3b, which can attract other immune system cells such as macrophages and promote inflammation.

Again, I don't have any suggestions for what to do next based on this info, but maybe knowing this can help in a psychological way.

Don't beat yourself up too much for going blank at the doctor's office. It happens to all of us from time to time, especially when hit with the unexpected. I'm pullin' for ya!
